Ok, here is the skinny for the ride on Veterans day at
the Ardmore Veterans Home. The ride is Monday the
12th, the Veterans council does this so they can get
the school kids brought over to participate in the
ceremony. Jerry would you post this to the state and
national site for me and what are the chances of
getting another plaque? Kokomo, Gary or David, I
would also appreciate your posting it on the
North/East Texas and the American Legion/VFW lists.
Also the Southern Cruisers and Iron Riders.

Annual Veterans Day ride in Ardmore Ok, Monday 12 Nov
2007, The Ceremony starts with the music at 1030, We
will do a ride through the drive of the home, at
1045, we will continue to the rear of the home,
dismount and Take up the flags, which will be there in
a trailer. We will proceed single file to the front
of the home and form a flag line between the guest and
the street.

Our staging area will be the same as before, the
Ardmore Convention Center is at exit 33 off I-35 North
of Ardmore. Go east to first street, right one block
to center. There is an I-Hop at the this exit for
those who want to eat. Staging time at the Convention
Center, 0930. KSU 1020, we will have a LLE escort
through town to the home.

For those coming from the east I will have staging in
Madil WalMart KSU 0845, Durant WalMart KSU 0800, if
we have riders coming from further east email me and
we will set up a time and meet place.

We will dismiss at the end of the Ceremony and those
who would like to stay and visit with the Vet's are
welcome to do so. Keep in mind, many are older and we
do not want to stress them out. We have arranged for
a couple of spots in Ardmore for those who are
interested in getting a bite to eat. Ryans is a great
buffet on North Commerce st. by Wal Mart. Right
across from the Home is Chev's bar. We have also made
reservations at Cat Fish Corner, which is also across
the street from the home, with great fish, etc and
cold beer.

Ride Captains for this will be Don "Pappy" Papin
