The City of Crowley has requested the presence of the Patriot Guard Riders in their annual Christmas Parade on Saturday, 1 DEC, at 1600 (that would be 4:00 PM, when Mickey's little hand is on the four and his big hand is on the 12). For those of you who attended their Fourth of July Parade, this one will cover approximately half that distance, ending at City Hall. There will be a live band, cookies and hot chocolate for all. The Christmas Tree will be lit and Santa will be present. Quoting City Council Member John Shotwell, "If weather is too cold for bikes, bring your cars and the kids!!"
The following is our itinerary:

Ride Captains:

Mark "BluHog" Ingersoll, Cell 817.938.3544, bluhog at patriotguard.org
Wendy "HotLips" Ingersoll, Cell 805.587.9453, califbabe55 at yahoo.com

Saturday, December 1, 2007

Staging: We will stage between 1500 and 1525 at the Diamond Shamrock (Valero) gas station on the NW corner of I-35W and Rendon-Crowley Road (which is FM1187) Exit 39 off IH 35W.

a.. If you're riding NORTHbound on the Interstate, when you exit at 39, the first cross street is McAlister Road - you want the second cross street, Rendon-Crowley, then turn left).
a.. If SOUTHbound on the Interstate, the station will be on your right at the light after you take exit 39.
Mission: We will have a brief RC meeting at 1525, immediately followed by the Riders' Safety Brief and the completion of any necessary paperwork. We'll have a short ride to the City's Parade Staging location (about 4.2 miles) and the parade route is roughly 1.3 miles long, all low speed.

Weather: As of 2215 on 25 NOV, the forecast for Crowley for 01 DEC is:

a.. Morning - Cloudy with a 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Highs in the upper 60s.
a.. Evening - Mostly cloudy with a 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Lows in the upper 40s.
But, as always, be prepared for changes. This is Texas, after all.

Iron Horses if you can, but cages are always welcome and appreciated.

Respectfully submitted,

Mark & Wendy Ingersoll
