Many Riders have commented that they haven't gotten the word on the subject Mission, so we are resending it.  This is going to be a very rewarding event, as two small towns come together to remember the sacrifice of one of their Heroes.  Please note the requirement to get your reservation in to Barbara for the meal being provided.

MISSION:  Presentation to the family of Sgt. Gary Johnston, USMC

The American Legion is presenting the family of fallen Marine, Gary Johnston with a really beautiful "Fallen Soldier Plaque".  American Legion Post 198, in Archer City, TX. has asked the PGR to participate in this presentation prior to the Archer City/Windthorst high school football game.  The American Legion will be providing us a wonderful meal for FREE at their Post located at 232 East Main St. at 1600.  They really need an approximate head count so they will have enough food , so please email or call Barbara and let her know if you will be there for the meal ASAP.

STAGING:  Staging will be at the Archer County Court House (west side) at the intersection of Hwy 79 and Hwy 25 from 1720-1820, Safety Brief at 1820, KSU at 1835.

NOTE:  Only Riders who have heard and understand the plan of execution at the Safety Brief will be allowed on the field.

Execution:  We will take a short ride to the football stadium, enter stadium and circle the football field and park on the east end of the field on the track.  To avoid damage to the track, please make sure your kickstand coasters have no sharp edges.  We have some 3" x 3" kickstand coasters made of 3/16 plate and we will have those at the courthouse for you to use if you need one.  Once stopped, we will dismount, take a flag (we will have people on the field to hand out flags) and form the Flag Line.

Misc:  For those requiring lodging, Archer City has two Bed & Breakfasts; The Spur Hotel, Ph# (940) 574-2501 and The Lonesome Dove Inn, Ph# (940) 574-2700.  Both have websites on the internet.
