Part 1: Saturday, April 5, 2008, 10:30—10:45
Staging for ride to Strawn, TX. Meet at Texas National Guard
Armory, 1929 W. Randol Mill Rd., Arlington, TX 76012;
817-265-9401.
From I-30:
Coming from the east or west, take the Fielder Rd. exit, go South.
Turn right on W. Randol Mill Rd., go west until reaching Randol Mill
Park Rd. Make a right turn on to Randol Mill Park Rd., go about 200
yards and turn left in to the Texas National Guard Armory parking lot.
There are some tennis courts across Randol Mill Park Rd. on your
right, turn left there into the parking lot.
Part 2: Saturday, April 5, 2008, KSU 11:00
Briefing prior to KSU and ride to Strawn, TX to present a plaque
and coin to the father of SPC Keisha Marie Morgan who died as a result
of injuries sustained in a vehicle accident while serving in Baghdad,
Iraq.
Part 3: Saturday, April 5, 2008, approximately 1300 (1:00 PM)
Just south of Strawn we plan to meet a contingent of PGR riders
from West Texas to accompany the NTx PGR to the Town Center of
Strawn. The ceremony will have CW3 Mark Kelsey, Steven Kohs, and the
mayors of Trophy Club and Strawn making the formal presentation to SPC
Keisha Marie Morgan's father, Michael A. Morgan. Mr. Morgan was
unable to attend the burial of his daughter in Arlington National
Cemetery.
The city plans to serve lunch after the presentation.
Weather: Clear skies with temperatures in the lower 70's. Bring
plenty of water and stay hydrated.
Prior to arriving at the Texas National Guard Armory in Arlington,
have your bike gassed and ready to ride. It is approximately 95 miles
to Strawn.
Please remember that our mission is to stand tall, silent, with honor
and respect for this fallen Solider and her family.
