PGR_NTX Patriot Guard Mission Update - Specialist Blake Bronough

Mission Information For North Texas PGR mission at txpgr.org
Fri Dec 5 18:56:45 CST 2008

Ladies and Gentlemen,

On December 1, 2008 a mission confirmation was sent out regarding the death
of U.S. Army Specialist Blake Bronough, who died while on active duty in
Anchorage, Alaska. Specialist Bronough died in his sleep, apparently of
natural causes. Specialist Bronough's funeral and burial will be in Wichita
Falls on Monday and a final itinerary will be posted for that shortly.

Today we learned that Specialist Bronough will be flown from Alaska into
Dallas Fort Worth Airport on Sunday, December 7, 2008 at 11:51 AM on
Continental Airlines flight 1133. We are currently setting up an escort
mission from DFW Airport to Wichita Falls, via Decatur. North Texas Senior
Ride Captain Randy "Coach" Roberts will lead this mission. The tentative
plan is to escort Specialist Bronough from the Airport to Decatur, where
there will be a stop for fuel. Approximately 6-8 PGR members from Wichita
Falls, including mission Ride Captains Mike and Barbara Johnson will have
ridden to DFW airport to participate in the escort and will take Specialist
Bronough and his family the rest of the way to Wichita Falls. I'm sure that
any riders who wish to continue with the escort will be welcome. Big flag
bikes are especially needed for this type of mission.

Please be on the lookout for a final itinerary, probably tomorrow, for the
final itinerary. It will include the DFW escort as well as the funeral and
burial in Wichita Falls.

Let's take Specialist Bronough home to his family, friends and loved ones.
He went to Alaska and pledged his life to us when we needed him. Seems like
the least we can do is give him a ride home from the airport. Especially on
Sunday, December 7.

Thank you.

Steve Lucas

Deputy State Captain
