Mr. Meadows was a Sergeant in the US Army, assigned to the 49th Armored
Division, Ft. Polk, LA during the Cuban Missile Crisis. 

 

 

Part 1 - Funeral Service:  Saturday, December 6, 2008 - 2:00 PM

 

Staging - 1:00 PM

We will place a flag line at the church and stand tall and silent as family
and guests arrive for the funeral service.  The burial will be at DFW
National Cemetery on Monday (see below).  Flags will be present at the
funeral home but water will not be provided.  Please plan accordingly and
bring your own as necessary.

 

 

Part 2 - Interment Service:  Monday, December 8, 2008 - 1:30 PM

 

Staging - 12:30 PM

There will be no procession from the funeral home to the cemetery so
everyone will stage below shelter B no later than 12:30 PM.  We will use the
flags stored at the cemetery and place them as soon as possible prior to Mr.
Meadows' service.  Due to the brevity on site, a water truck will not be
requested for this mission.  Please plan accordingly.

 

 

Weather:        Saturday:  Mostly clear with a high of 62 degrees.

                        Monday:  Isolated thunderstorm with a high of 65
degrees.

 

Please be conscious of the weather conditions and remember that safety is
always first.  Cages are never inappropriate at a mission.      

Please remember that our mission is to stand tall, silent, and with honor
and respect for this veteran and his family.
