[Mission Information For North Texas PGR]

Ladies and Gentlemen,

 

Those riders who were able to go on the airport and escort mission to meet
Sgt. Savage in Mineral Wells may have met Sgt. Savage's father.  He rode
behind the hearse in the escort.  He is having a memorial service for his
son in Peaster on Sunday and the PGR has been invited to attend.  Not as the
PGR, to set up a flag line, etc., but as attendees at the service, to
celebrate the life of his son.  After spending a little time with Mr. Savage
I know that he is quite appreciative of the efforts of the PGR.  He didn't
know what we did and who we are, really, until we arrived at the airport.
He was very proud of his son and the honor and respect shown him that day
and he thanked many of us over and over again.  The details are below as we
received them.
