Confirmed HOTH Mission to support the Annual Reunion of the Iwo Jima Survivors, Wichita Falls, TX 23 Feb 2008


The PGR has again been invited to attend the 16th Annual Reunion of the Iwo Jima Survivors in Wichita Falls, Texas on Saturday 23 Feb 2008.

Mission:  Form a Flag Line inside the hotel hallway for these Heroes from the Greatest Generation to proceed through as they go to attend a Reenactment of the flag raising on Iwo Jima.  After they are seated in the room where the reenactment will be, then as many PGR as can be accommodated are invited to enter and watch the reenactment. 

Staging:  We will meet at McDonalds in Wichita Falls at 15th and Holliday St. between 0730 - 0800 (7:30 - 8:00 AM).  All first-time Riders will sign the Liability Release form and after the safety brief, KSU will be at 0815 (8:15 AM) for the short 1 mile or so ride to the Howard Johnson Plaza @ 401 Broad St. to have our flag line in place by 0830 (8:30 AM.)  

Weather:  TBD, but this is Texas and it could be ANYTHING that week!

Iron Horses if you can, cages are always welcome and appreciated. The support truck with flags will be there. 

Please remember that our mission is to Stand Tall and Silent for these Heroes.
