Memorial Service—Marvin Berry, US Navy Corpsman, WWII

Commander J.C. Jones of VFW Post 2559, W. Tawakoni, TX has requested
the presence and participation of the PGR at a Memorial Ceremony
honoring Mr. Marvin Berry, USN Corpsman/USMC, and Veteran WWII.  Mr.
Berry served in the Pacific theater with the USMC.  He was awarded the
Silver Star for action on Guadalcanal.  He had been a member of the
VFW for 60 years.  The PGR will present a plaque and medallion to his
widow in his honor.

Sunday, February 17, 2008; 1400 Hours (2 PM)
Staging 1245--1300 (12:45—1:00 PM)

The mission will be conducted at
VFW Post 2559
100 E. SH 276 (SH 276 and Mays Road)
W. Tawakoni, TX.

There will be a short ceremony inside the VFW Post followed by an
outside ceremony with the firing of a 21-gun salute and the playing of
Taps.  The PGR has been requested to set up a flag line and to also
have a formation of 3 flags on each side of the rifle squad.

Come out to honor and show your respect at this Memorial Service for a
Veteran of the Greatest Generation.
