This is the Final Itinerary to honor Phillip Ray Edgington, MAJ, US Army Reserves (Ret). The family has requested the Patriot Guard Riders to participate in honoring his memory.
Ride Captains:
Mark "BluHog" Ingersoll 817-938-3544
Wendy "HotLips" Ingersoll 805-587-9453
We have been asked to provide a flag line at the Bolivar Baptist Church before the service, and then at the Edgington Ranch for a second flag line for the conclusion of the honors. Due to the forecast of VERY inclement weather, plans may be adjusted at the last moment.
Staging: We will stage from 1245 to 1310 at the Chevron Station at the NW corner of I-35 and FM 455 in Sanger. Safety brief at 1310, KSU at 1315 for the 3.3 mile ride to the church.
Services: Saturday, 16 FEB 08 at 1400. Bolivar Baptist Church, FM 455, Sanger (Bolivar). Flag line to be in place by 1330. After the service begins, we will take the flags down, then proceed to the Edgington Ranch to provide a flag line prior to the arrival of the coach and family.
Weather: Forecast as of 2200 Thursday night: Showers and thunderstorms. Some thunderstorms may produce heavy rainfall. Highs in the upper 40s. Northeast winds 10 to 15 mph shifting to the southeast in the late morning and afternoon. Chance of rain near 100 percent. Due to the extreme wet and cold weather forecasted, if you are not comfortable riding in wet weather - especially on narrow back roads - you may want to consider caging it. If you do ride, please dress accordingly.
PLEASE REMEMBER THAT OUR MISSION IS TO STAND TALL AND SILENT WITH HONOR AND RESPECT FOR THIS VETERAN AND HIS FAMILY.
All bike groups are welcome to ride with us. Jimmy Jones will be there with our flag truck.
NOTE: For those arriving from the south on I-35, after you exit the freeway and are making the left turn to go W on FM 455, please use extreme caution entering the intersection as the road is in disrepair.
Respectfully submitted,
Wendy and Mark Ingersoll
