*****************************************
We are riding in support of our Oklahoma PGR brothers and sisters who are
coming to DFW airport on a mission to escort home United States Marine Staff
Sergeant Jamey D. Finch who, after 2 tours of duty in Iraq, had been assigned
as the NCOIC of the USMC recruiting station at 29 Palms, California. He was
killed in a traffic accident when a vehicle pulled out in front of him while
he was on his motorcycle.
Any PGR members who wish to ride in this escort from DFW airport to the
Oklahoma state line (via I-35) are welcome and encouraged to come along to honor
this hero and assist our friends from OK. We are hoping to have a law
enforcement escort at least to the interstate from the airport but those details
have not been finalized at the time of this report. Highway speeds will be
observed on the interstate. Big flag bikes – if you have any concerns about this
please don’t hesitate to furl the flags before we leave.

Weather: There is a slight chance of an isolated thunderstorm as we get
north toward the Red River with a high temperature predicted of 99 degrees.
There will be no flag/water truck requested by us for this mission. Please
hydrate early and make sure you have plenty of water/Gatorade on hand. It is my
understanding that a support vehicle is coming with the Oklahoma contingent
but let’s be good hosts and not drink/eat the supplies they are counting on
for their long trip.
Iron Horses if you can, cages are always welcome and appreciated.

Please remember that our mission is to stand tall, silent, and with honor
and respect for this Marine and his family.
Respectfully submitted,
Steve “Badger” Lucas
North Texas Ride Captain
