The PGR has been asked to assist with the deployment of the 302nd MP Company
from the old NAS Dallas to Hattiesburg, MS. The unit is being deployed to
Iraq to train Iraqi police. They will be going by bus to Mississippi for
additional training. We will escort them to Terrell, TX.

The 302nd MP Company has a special significance to the North Texas PGR
because of Edith and Gene Smith. Gene rides with us and Edith is the force behind
the “Heartmade Blessings Comfortghan Program”. The afghan blankets are hand
crafted by ladies from all over the country for the families that have lost
a loved one in war. Their nephew, Andrew Dean Smith, is a member of the
302nd MP Company. It is his first deployment into a war zone.
Part 1: Staging
Saturday, June 28, 2008: 0600—0615 (6:00 am—6:15 am)
We will meet at the intersection of E. Jefferson St. and Camden Dr. in Grand
Prairie, TX. There is a small strip center on the southeast corner of the
intersection that has ample parking. From the staging point, we will be going
to NAS to position our bikes in front of the four buses to lead the convoy
out of town.
David Hall and the Liberty Bell will be there to toll the soldiers on their
journey.
Part 2: Escort
Saturday, June 28, 2008: 0700 (7:00 am)
We will depart NAS leading the convoy to Terrell, TX (approximately 50
miles). We expect to have LEO support for most of this mission.
Part 3: Breakfast
After separating from the convoy, we will ride to Crandall, TX (approx. 15
miles) We will have breakfast at the Cotton Gin Restaurant.
Weather: Chance of rain showers, temps 74-93.
Flag bikes will be utilized.
Please remember that our mission is to stand tall, silent, with honor and
respect for the 302nd MP Company as they are deployed to Iraq to defend our
freedoms in the Global War on Terrorism.
Respectfully submitted,
Don “Eagle” Massey
Senior Ride Captain
PGR
