Update to below info. Kickstands will be up around 9:00am Sunday morning,
May 25th.. The media will be there at 8:30am, when they are through with
what they are doing, then we will be leaving. We will be making a stop at the
Love's north of Fort Sill (off hwy on the way to the Wichita Mountains) to gas
up for those that need to and to possibly pick up some more riders from the
Lawton area, then we will be making another stop at the Love's at 89th street
and I-44 to meet up with some PGR riders from OKC area and then on to the
Veteran's Hospital.

The PGR has been asked to assist Project Jody ( _Click here: Project Jody A
Cadence for life | MyCommitment.org_ (http://www.mycommitment.org/node/403)
_http://www.mycommitment.org/node/403_ (http://www.mycommitment.org/node/403)
) in taking items to the Oklahoma City Veterans Hospital. Project Jody takes
donated items on a regular basis to the Veterans Hospital, but I thought
this would be a great PGR HOTH project to get involved in. A lot of these
veterans leave the hospital to live in poverty and on the streets and need items
to survive. Some needed items are Walkers, wheelchairs, Athletic shoes,
T-shirts, caps, playing cards, bottled water, travel size or hotel soaps,
shampoos, lotion, toothpaste toothbrushes, socks, underwear, backpacks among many
other items.
We will be meeting at the El Mejicano Restaurant parking lot (Missile Road &
I-44) at 8:00 am Sunday morning, May 25, 2008, with kickstands up at 8:30.
We are being asked to take a package, bag or small box on each bike, so
please bring something to strap it down with. The rest of the donated items will
be taken on a trailer. We will be taking I-44 all the way, so there will be
tolls. We are hoping to make this an annual run, so hopefully by next year
we can work something out with the State of Oklahoma on a break on the toll
fees. If you can bring some donated items that would be great, but if not,
please come ride with us. We have been invited to visit with the veterans in
the hospital, so we will be spending some time there before heading back home,
but everyone should be home before dark.
Hope to see you Sunday morning!!

Thanks
