We have been asked to participate with the Blue Knights to escort a bus load of WWII veterans from the Waxahachie Civic Center to Dallas Love Field.  This is an Honor Flight to Washington DC where the veterans will be taken to visit their Memorial, as well as other monuments and places of interest in our Nation's capital.

STAGING:  Waxahachie Civic Center, 1950 N IH-35E, Waxahachie, (located at the SE corner of IH-35E and 287) at 0350 (3:50AM) The bus is scheduled to leave at 0425 (4:25AM)  to take the veterans to Dallas Love Field.  We do not know yet exactly where we will be placed in the convoy, but will have that information at the staging area.  The flight is scheduled to depart at 0625 (6:25AM).

For those who may want to ride down the night before, there are several hotels in the area.  The Super 8 is located a half mile south of the Civic Center, at 400 N IH-35E, Waxahachie.  

WEATHER:  Lows will be in the low 50's for Monday night, please dress accordingly.  

This is an escort only, the flag truck will not be there.  If you have any auxiliary lighting on your bike it will remain OFF during the course of this mission.  The Honor Flight organization has LEO support scheduled.


RETURN FLIGHT:   The PGR has also been asked to escort the bus with the veterans when they return to Waxahachie the following night.  The flight is scheduled to arrive at 2255 (10:55PM).  We will send out another itinerary for the return escort.
