Specialist Middleton was on active duty at Fort Bliss, TX when he died
during surgery.

 

 

Part 1 - Funeral Service:  Friday, November 28, 2008 - 11:00 AM

 

Staging - 9:45 AM; Briefing - 9:55 AM

We will place a flag line at the church and stand tall and silent as family
and guests arrive for the funeral service and maintain the flag line as the
family and guests depart.  Specialist Middleton will be buried in Jasper, TX
and the PGR in that area will be handling arrangements there.  There is no
escort planned between Dallas and Jasper.

Special Note for Pall Bearers:  Those PGR members who have spoken to me and
volunteered to be pall bearers are to meet at Evergreen Funeral Home no
later than 8:45 AM on the day of the funeral.  Escorting the hearse to the
church is not mandatory but is suggested if weather and traffic conditions
allow.

Weather:  Light showers with a high of 57 degrees.  Please keep an eye on
the skies and dress appropriately.  Remember to add a little extra time for
any bad weather that may crop up and remember to be safe.  Cages are
appropriate if the weather is threatening.

 

Flag/water truck will be present.  

Please remember that our mission is to stand tall, silent, and with honor
and respect for this soldier and his family.
