N. TX PGR Members:

I just learned that one of our riders went down after the mission yesterday
at NAS-JRB to Greenwood Funeral Home. Patrick Burrow of Royce City was on
his way home on the highway when a car applied it's brakes unexpectedly in
front of him. He went down and was knocked unconscious. Patrick does not
wear a helmet. He was taken to the hospital where he received 12 staples in
the back of his head, stitches in the front of his head and has, of course,
road rash. He was released from the hospital after treatment and returned
home. He has/had an appointment with his physician today. Apparently no
broken bones or other injuries. Dewey Dyer has spoken with him, which is
where this information was obtained and Patrick said he was traveling about
55 miles an hour at the time of his accident. Thanks to Dewey for getting
us the info.

I know that we all have Patrick in our thoughts and prayers and wish him a
speedy and complete recovery. I don't currently have contact information
for Patrick and I'm sure he needs rest right now but knowing the riders of
N. TX like I do, I know you'll all do what's in your hearts.

Patrick, if you see this message, your brothers and sisters are here for you
and care about you. We're as close as a phone call or e-mail and we'll be
checking on you.

Steve Lucas
