The funeral for Mr. Robinson will have taken place on Friday, September 05,
2008. Our participation is for the escort from the funeral home to the
cemetery and then a flag line at the cemetery (see part 2 below).
We are expected to leave for the cemetery at approximately 12:15 PM. Be
sure to hydrate before we leave as temperatures are expected in the low to mid
90s. Due to the heat we’ve been experiencing some may want to skip this part
of the mission and meet us at the cemetery. This would also be helpful so
there would be members already at the cemetery to assist with the flags, etc.,
in case the escort is running late.
Big flag bikes are certainly valued during this part of the mission but all
who wish to attend are welcome to do so.
No flag/water truck will be present at the funeral home. Each rider is
responsible for his/her own water/Gatorade. The water truck will be present at
the cemetery.

Part 2 – Interment Service, DFW National Cemetery - Monday, September 8,
2008, 1:30 PM
Staging - 12:45 PM – 1:15 PM. Flag line in place ASAP after 1:00 service.
Please park on the road in the assembly area below shelter B. We will use
flags already in storage at shelter B and place them in the ground in the PVC
pipe recently installed for that purpose. The water truck will be present at
the cemetery but please hydrate early and adequately prepare yourself for
the hot conditions.

It is our understanding that Mountain Creek Parkway is now open from I-20 to
the cemetery but that the road is rough and construction is ongoing. The
best route is likely still to be Spur 408 to Keist to Mountain Creek and then
to the cemetery.
Also please note that other services may be in progress as we are entering
or leaving the area so please keep bike pipe/radio/etc., noise to a minimum.
Thanks.

Weather: Partly cloudy with a high of 92 degrees. There will be a
flag/water truck at the cemetery only. Please hydrate early and make sure you have
plenty of water/Gatorade on hand if you are in the escort. As always, one of
the keys to proper hydration is to start hydrating early. The day prior to
the mission is not too soon to start. It is, in fact, recommended by the
experts.
Iron Horses if you can, cages are always welcome and appreciated.

Please remember that our mission is to stand tall, silent, and with honor
and respect for this veteran and his family.
Respectfully Submitted,
Steve “Badger” Lucas
Dewey “Diehard” Dyer
