Plan to arrive no later than 12:50 pm at the Funeral Home. We need to have
flag line in place by 1:00 pm and stand the flag line until shortly after
commencement of the Funeral Service at 2:00 pm. At that time, we will remove
the flags and prepare for Part 2 of the Mission. Big flag bike riders and
other riders who want to ride as an escort will remain with the funeral
procession to escort the family to the cemetery. After Funeral Service begins,
Bill Sides will leave with a couple of riders to prepare for burial service at
the cemetery.
Flag/water truck will be present at the funeral home and the cemetery.
Part 2 – Interment Service, Rosehill Cemetery - Friday, September 12, 2008,
Immediately following the Funeral Service
Once we arrive at the cemetery, we will reestablish the Flag Line around the
burial site.
The water truck will be present at the cemetery but please hydrate early and
adequately. Prepare yourself for the hot conditions.

Also please note that other services may be in progress as we are entering
or leaving the cemetery so please keep bike pipe/radio/etc., noise to a
minimum. Thanks.
Weather: Partly Cloudy, Hot and Humid. High Temperatures in the low 90s.
There will be a flag/water truck at the cemetery. Please hydrate early and
often. As always, one of the keys to proper hydration is to start hydrating
early. The day prior to the mission is not too soon to start. It is, in
fact, recommended by the experts.
Iron Horses if you can, cages are always welcome and appreciated.
Please remember that our mission is to stand tall, silent, and with honor
and respect for this veteran and his family.
Respectfully Submitted,
Dewey “Diehard” Dyer
North Texas Ride Captain
