PGR_NTX Patriot Guard Confirmed Mission - Saturday, April 4, 2009, Mr. Louis A. Slovak

[Mission Information For North Texas PGR]

Ladies and Gentlemen,

 

The family of Mr. Louis A. Slovak has asked that the Patriot Guard
participate in the final services for this former POW of the Battle of the
Bulge from WWII, held by the Germans in Stalag 8.  Mr. Slovak was the last
surviving WWII POW in Ellis County.  His funeral is scheduled for 10:00 AM
this Saturday in Ennis.  There will be a short procession to St. Joseph's
Cemetery where Mr. Slovak will be buried with full military honors.  Mr.
Slovak is survived by his wife of 65 years, Lillian, as well as by 6
children, 13 grandchildren, and 9 great-grandchildren with one step
great-grandchild.

 

A final itinerary will be posted when details are completed.
