Mission Information For North Texas PGR mission at txpgr.org
Tue Apr 7 00:18:00 CDT 2009

Ladies and Gentlemen,

Mr. Gary Towers has asked that the PGR participate in an escort for the
traveling Vietnam Wall as it is brought into Granbury on the evening of
Wednesday, April 8, 2009 - that's this Wednesday. We have been asked to
join the escort along with the American Legion Riders. We have not been
asked to take this on as a PGR mission and it is not being treated as such
but I would like to encourage everyone who is available and interested in
making this ride to do so. The Wall is being brought into Granbury for the
opening of a Veteran's Museum this weekend and is a very touching and
meaningful icon for so many Americans.

Riders have been asked to join the wall at the Shell Station at the corner
of I-20 and Hwy 281 (I-20 exit 386) near Santo, TX (NW of Granbury) on
Wednesday evening at 5:00 PM. Getting there a bit early, say 4:30 PM
couldn't hurt. The route will take you down Hwy 281 to Hwy 4 and into
Granbury. Law enforcement will pick you up along the way.

Again, do not expect this to be run as a PGR mission but if you are wearing
PGR identifying information on you or your bike please remember that you
represent the PGR while doing so. Please stay safe and be extra careful as
dusk and nightfall approach.

Thank you.

Steve Lucas

Deputy State Captain

North Texas PGR
