FINAL ITINERARY
PGR Benefit Fund Raiser
Mission Date; April 26, 2009
Ride Captain:
Steve "Ghost" Hirtzel, 817-371-8498 (c); steve.e.hirtzel at lmco.com
James and Nancy of J&N Motorcycle Leather, The American Legion Riders of
Post 569 and the Born Again Ministries Riders have chosen to hold a benefit
and donate the proceeds to the North Texas PGR. Plans include a motorcycle
rally and fun run (formerly called a Poker Run), Bike and Trike Show, live
music by Todd Boyer, etc. Most everyone knows Ollie (The Patch Lady) - She
has designed a special patch for the event. B.A.C.A. will have a booth at
the event along with others selling candles, picture frames, Mary Kay, food
and drink, etc.
We will be honored to have as a special guest Ms. Gerlinde Feuerborn, the
widow of Lieutenant Commander Vincent Jay Feuerborn. We were given the
honor of standing tall and silent for Lt. Commander Feuerborn at his final
services on February 9 of this year. Also present will be Sgt. Jose Lopez,
Alpha Troop, 473rd Cavalry, 82nd Airborne Division. Sgt. Lopez was injured
with burns on January 3, 2008 while serving at a forward observation base in
Afghanistan on the Pakistan border.
The event officially kicks off when the PGR comes riding in to set things in
motion.
The American Legion Riders will be conducting flag duty whereby they will be
lowering the US flag and then raising the US flag and a PGR flag that has
been signed by PGR riders and will be presented to James and Nancy of J&N
Motorcycle Leather. You may recall that we also conducted a mission for one
of Nancy's family members not too long ago.
