PGR_NTX Patriot Guard Confirmed Mission - Wednesday, April 15, 2009

[Mission Information For North Texas PGR]

Ladies and Gentlemen,

 

I have just received word from Sparky Cox in Sherman of the family's request
for the Patriot Guard Riders to participate in the final services for Vernon
Lashley, who passed away today.  Mr. Lashley was a WWII veteran and served
in the 36th Infantry Division of the Texas Army National Guard, "The Lost
Battalion."  Both of Mr. Lashley's sons are Patriot Guard Riders and very
much want us to be there for his dad.  The services are currently scheduled
for Wednesday, April 15, 2009 in Sherman and more information will be
available after the family meets with the funeral home tomorrow.

 

Many of you will remember the North Texas PGR being present at the annual
Texas reunion of The Lost Battalion in Dallas last year and meeting many of
those fine gentlemen.  Let's stand tall and silent just as those men stood
tall for their country in their service and during their brutal captivity.
