Raymond John Honza, Sr., passed away on Sunday evening at the age of 84. Mr.
Honza served as a Sargent in the U.S. Army during WWII, served with
distinction in the European Theatre and was awarded the Bronze Star for
heroism. Mr. Honza was able to attend the honor flight to Washington D. C.
last year where he paid his respects to his fallen comrades.

He was survived by his wife Leona, one son Raymond J. Honza, Jr. and
daughter Linda Tolston

 

 

 

Part 1 - Funeral:  Thursday, April 23 - 10:00 AM

 

Staging - 9:00 AM; Briefing - 9:15 AM

We will set up our flag line and stand tall and silent as the family and
guests arrive at the church for the service.  Once the service begins we
will break down the flag line and prepare to ride in the procession to the
cemetery. 

 

 

Part 2 - Escort:  Monday, April 23, 2009 - Following Funeral Service

 

Saint Johns Catholic Church to Saint Joseph Cemetery.

Following the funeral service we will ride in the procession from the church
to cemetery for the interment service.  The procession should be
approximately 1.5 miles total distance.  

 

 

Part 3 - Interment Service:  Monday, April 23, 2009 - 11:00 AM

 

Staging:  Upon escort arrival at the cemetery.

 

Saint Joseph Cemetery

On arrival at the cemetery, all bikes will remain in the procession
formation and park behind the lead car, proceed to the internment area and
take up a flag line position.

For anyone who will not be able to attend Parts 1 and/or 2 of the service,
please be at the cemetery no later than 10:30 PM and ready to begin
preparing the area for Mr. Honza's service as soon as possible.

 

 

Weather for the Service: Mostly sunny. Breezy. Highs in the lower 80s. South
winds 15 to 25 mph with gusts to around 35 mph. 

 

The flag/water truck will be at both locations. As the summer weather has
now joined us, remember that hydration and plenty of electrolytes are your
best protection. 

 

                                   Hydrate, hydrate, hydrate!!! 

 

Iron horses if you can, cages are always welcome and appreciated.

Please remember that our mission is to stand tall, silent, and with honor
and respect for this true American hero and an honored member of the
"greatest generation".
