Master Sergeant Robert "Tommy" Mobley went home to be with the Lord on April
19, 2009 after battling a lengthy illness, with his family and friends by
his side. Robert was described as always mindful to support his home
church, Angel Tree ministry, anyone and everyone down and out - while always
available to lend a helping hand to friends, co-workers, supervisors,
neighbors, strangers and family. He served overseas in Desert Storm and
Desert Shield and in Europe and Asia and stateside in Air Force Reserve and
Recruiter tours. He is survived by his wife and 2 children, his parents and
his two brothers.

The main entrance to the church is on the South side of the building. We

will set up the flag line and stand tall and silent as the family and guests
arrive for the funeral service.

We will convene at the church at 12:30 PM to prepare for the procession to

Upon arrival at the cemetery, big flag bikes will stay with the procession
at the staging area and other riders will continue to the parking area below
the proper shelter. The shelter assignment is not currently known but will
be available before procession departure. For those meeting us at the
cemetery, please check the board at the visitor center when you arrive for
the proper shelter and plan to be at the parking area below that shelter no
later than 2:30 PM in order to prepare for MSGT Mobley's service as soon as
the one before his has concluded. We will use flags in storage at the
shelter for this part of the mission.

Weather: Mostly clear with a high of 84 degrees.

Iron horses if you can. Cages are always welcome and appreciated.

The flag/water truck will be present at both locations.

All riders please keep in mind that now that the warm weather is upon us it
is not only important to drink lots of water but the proper electrolyte
balanced sports type drinks are also important to staying properly hydrated.
The best advice is to begin hydrating the night before being out in hot
weather and then to remain hydrated during the day. If you find yourself
thirsty, you're already behind in your hydration.

Ride captains will be circulating and checking on you throughout the
missions. We will try to be circulating with water as well. Do not be
brave and try to "gut it out." If you need a break - take one. If you need
water, get some. If you feel ill, get help. We are concerned for your
safety. We do not want to create a mission while at a mission. We also
don't want the focus to be on us. These families and mourners are already
going through a very difficult time and we don't want them worrying about us
or feeling bad if one of us should happen to become ill due to heat, etc.
If it's something we can prevent let's do our best.

Please remember that our mission is to stand tall, silent, and with honor
and respect for this active duty service man and his family.

Respectfully Submitted,

Steve "Badger" Lucas

North Texas Deputy State Captain
