Ladies and Gentlemen,
The message below is from Cecil Yoder, one of our North Texas Ride Captains
in Wichita Falls.
Brother Patriot Guard Rider, Terry Hayley tjhayley at hotmail.com , received
dreadful news yesterday. He broke his back several weeks ago and while being
treated for the back, it was discovered that he has cancer. He went to the
cancer doctor yesterday to see about treatment and was told that it was too
far gone for treatment and he probably only has a few weeks at most to live.
He is in room 121 at Healthsouth, for now. His family said he can tolerate
limited visitors, one or two at a time for short periods. Terry told me he
would appreciate visitors. Terry rides a Goldwing and is also a GWRRA
member. I believe in the power of prayer and believe that it's never too
late for a miracle so I will keep Terry in my prayers and I'm sure all
prayer for him will be appreciated.
While visiting with Terry and his family today, he told me that if and when
this cancer took him he wants the Patriot Guard to be a big part of his
service. Which I assured him he can count on that. Terry became involved
with the PGR in early 2006, shortly after its inception and has loyally
participated in many missions since. He will be 63 years old in November, he
proudly served his country in the U.S Army from 1965 to 1969 and is a
Vietnam Veteran.. He hails from Seymour, Texas and if a PGR mission becomes
necessary, services will be in Seymour.
