PGR_NTX Patriot Guard Invitation

[Mission Information For North Texas PGR]

Ladies and Gentlemen,

 

We have received an invitation for our riders to come and participate with
some troops and their families, some heading to the sand and some coming
back, in an afternoon/evening of relaxation and fun at the MD Resorts in
Aurora, near Boyd, TX.  This is a meet and greet type of atmosphere with
some troops and their families and a chance to be with them in an informal
atmosphere.

 

The event will not be a formal PGR mission but is open for any who wish to
participate and is this Saturday, the 15th.  It is being hosted by the
resort and we have been invited by the resort and our friends at Accident
Scene Management Institute.  The web site for the resort is

In the words of our host:

 

Hi ,  MD Resorts is planning a retreat for troops some going to Irag Some
coming home from there .. their are a total of 65 people that are suppost to
be there, its the troops and their family's. From 1-6 we have set up
Helicopter tours for the kids , and firetruck tours to , There is also gonna
be several  people out there that are bringing stuff to honor our Vets.  I
have helped with 2 of these retreats so far , and I love it , It  is the one
way I can let them know I appreciate all they do for us . In my opinion
there are alot of our troops that just dont get enough credit for their
lives they give up to save ours. I am just a simple country girl who comes
from a long line of military men so its just something that is close to my
heart .  I have talked to spiritrider about what ya'll do and thought maybe
a day to visit and laugh with our troops would be a nice break from the some
of the not so happy things ya'll deal with .  Anybody is welcome to come out
1-6 is fun activities for the whole family and 7-10 is live music
entertainment . Like I said it is just our way of letting them know they
have us on their side and we love them and thank them for everything .
Thanks for your time , and thanks for all you do as well . The riders
escorted a dear friend of mine and my husband , and it was the most
beautiful moving exsperience I ever had . I dont know the guys personally ,
But it meant  so much to my family  So THANK YA"LL so much !  thanks  Amy

Directions - It is in Aurora Tx  between Rhome and Boyd on hwy 114 . you
will take the 114 exit in rhome going to boyd and bridgeport . about 2 miles
down there is a housing addition on the right its called aurora vista , the
road has always been called aurora cut off around there. take a right there
, and you will see the sign for MD Resort on the left side about 2 blocks
down just follow that drive all the way back to the brick office by the pool
