PGR_NTX Patriot Guard Rider Lost

Ladies and Gentlemen,

The North Texas Patriot Guard Riders lost a faithful rider and good friend
to all this morning when Walter Gill was killed in a motorcycle accident.
Details are still somewhat sketchy on the accident but at this time it
appears to be a single vehicle rollover accident.

Walter was a stalwart in our organization and a friend to us all.  A patriot
of the highest order with a love of his family, his country, the veterans
and the PGR.  Walter was able to put his personal pain aside and give so
much of himself in order to honor those who had gone to their final rest
ahead of him that he set an example that all of us would do well to follow.
He never met a stranger and made all feel welcome in his own very special
way.  He is already missed and will be missed for a very long time to come.

No details are available yet on any disposition or arrangements.  It is not
yet known what funeral home is handling things.  George Raglin will be the
Ride Captain for all PGR participation and he will be assisted by Senior
Ride Captain Dewey Dyer.  When information is known it will be announced via
this e-mail list.  No other missions will be scheduled to conflict with
Walter's services unless a KIA comes in.

Please keep Walter's family in your thoughts and prayers.  You can imagine
that they are going through a very rough time.  We will be there for them in
whatever capacity they need us at all times.  

Words are inadequate to express my personal sorrow and grief at hearing this
news.  Walter was my friend and for that I will be forever proud and
grateful.  He is in a better place now and free of pain.  He is with his
shipmates who have gone before him and the reunion has begun.  May God bless
him and his family.
