Mission Information For North Texas PGR mission at txpgr.org
Sat Feb 7 02:45:15 CST 2009

Ladies and Gentlemen,

The Patriot Guard has been invited by American Airlines to provide a flag
line at the one night only presentation of the one man, two act play
entitled "Above the Call, Beyond the Duty," a tribute to the American
veteran and a salute to the Tuskegee Airmen. This play was written and is
performed by veteran actor James McEachin, whom you will recognize from
television and movies. Mr. McEachin is, himself, a veteran of Korea, where
he was awarded the Silver Star and the Purple Heart.

The performance will be at Casa Manana in Fort Worth on February 14, 2009 at
7:00 PM. In attendance will be several of the original Tuskegee Airmen as
well as veterans from Iraq and Afghanistan. Complimentary tickets will be
available for PGR members to attend the performance. Details on the ticket
availability are currently being worked out. Regular ticket prices are $25
and $50. Proceeds from this event will go to the CRP Future Pilots Flight
School.

This is a wonderful opportunity for the PGR to not only pay tribute to
members, living and dead, of this storied WWII unit but to also honor
veterans from current operations. I encourage everyone to click on this
link - http://www.casamanana.org/broadway/events.html and visit the site
that will give you some information on the play and to also visit the
actor's web site where there is information about his acting, writing and
military career.

Below I have included, from his web site, a newspaper article that describes
the situation in Korea where he was wounded and a bit of information where
you can see that he is now an official ambassador for the US Army Reserve,
with a protocol rank of Major General, due to his patriotic activities.

Additional details on this mission will be provided as they become
available. A head count of riders who would like tickets may be necessary
as the event draws closer so the organizers can adequately plan.

Thank you all for what you continue to do. Additional information is below.
