Mr. Fears served in the US Navy for 3 years. He was a member of the
American Legion, as well as a Patriot Guard Rider. He and his wife, Judy,
joined while living in Missouri. He has eight children, two of which are
active duty and serving with the US Army.
Part 1 - Funeral: Saturday, February 28, 2009 - 2:00 PM
Staging - 12:30 PM; Briefing - 1:00 PM
Bethel Temple
600 S. Colonial Dr.
Cleburne, TX
We will set up our flag line at 1:15 PM and stand tall and silent as the
family and guests arrive for the service. Once the service begins we will
break down the flag line and the bulk of our group will ride ahead to Watts
Chapel to set up the flags at the burial site. Large Flag bikes will remain
at the Temple to prepare to ride in the procession to the cemetery.
To get to the cemetery from Bethel Temple, drive south/east on FM 4, then
make a left onto CR 308. Watts Chapel and the cemetery will be on the
right.
Part 2 - Accompaniment: Saturday February 28, 2009 - Following Funeral
Service
Bethel Temple to Watts Chapel.
Following the funeral service the Flag Bikes will ride in the funeral
procession from the service to Watts Chapel for the interment. The
procession will be led by the American Legion Riders, followed by a
motorcycle hearse, then a "missing man" formation, again provided by the
American Legion. The family car will follow the hearse, then the PGR will
provide about 3-4 large flag bikes to follow the family car. The rest of
the procession will follow, with the PGR providing a close to the procession
with the rest of the large flag bikes. .
Part 3 - Interment Service: Saturday, February 28, 2009 - Following
Funeral Service
Watts Chapel
FM 4 & CR 308
Cleburne, TX
We will set up the flags at the burial site before the procession arrives.
The majority of riders will already be at the cemetery with the flags set up
to receive the procession from the Temple.
For anyone who will not be able to attend Parts 1 and/or 2 of the service,
please be at Watts Chapel no later than 2:30 PM to begin preparing the area
for Mr. Fears' service as soon as the procession arrives.
Weather: Partly cloudy with a high around 60 degrees - please dress
accordingly.
The flag/water truck will be at both locations.
Iron horses if you can, cages are always welcome and appreciated.
Please remember that our mission is to stand tall and silent with honor and
respect for this veteran and his family.
Respectfully Submitted,
