Additional information regarding the mission for Mr. Fears has just been
received from Ride Captain Wendy Ingersoll.  Please see below for important

Additional information for mission for Dennis R. Fears, USN Veteran, 28 Feb
09.

 

After talking with the family tonight, we received additional information
that we feel needs to be passed along.  First of all, they are expecting
upwards of 300+ vehicles - mostly motorcycles - for this service.  Mr. Fears
has ridden for 30+ years and  with many different groups, clubs,
organizations, you name it.  The American Legion is first and foremost in
this mission so they will be the ones heading the procession.  Parking at
the Bethel Temple for the service will be on paved parking lot, however,
parking at the Watts Chapel for interment will be challenging, to say the
least.  There is a large area just to the left of the burial site that will
be available, but we are going to leave that for the family and friends of
the family.  We will be parking on somewhat packed pea-gravel, so take this
into consideration when making your plans.

 

Also, we were informed that the service may last 1-1/2 to 2 hours as they
plan on having a time for personal comments.  I am under the impression that
they are expecting at least 500 people, so the personal comments may take
some time.  There will be time to grab a quick bite to eat before you need
to be at the cemetery, but we do plan on having everyone back at the
cemetery no later than an hour after the start time of the service.
