PGR_NTX Patriot Guard Confirmed Mission - Friday, January 9, 2009 - LCDR Vyarl Martin, US Coast Guard Reserve

[Mission Information For North Texas PGR]

Ladies and Gentlemen,

 

The family of Vyarl Martin of Hurst, TX has asked the PGR to participate in
his services.  Mr. Martin was a veteran of the Army and the Navy and was, at
the time of his death on Sunday, a Lieutenant Commander in the Ready Reserve
of the United States Coast Guard.  He died in a crash in Louisiana while
co-piloting a private helicopter transporting workers to an offshore oil
platform.

 

The services are scheduled for Friday, January 9, 2009 with the order of the
services reversed from what is considered customary.  The interment will be
at DFW National Cemetery at 9:00 AM with the procession leaving First United
Methodist Church in Hurst at 8:00 AM.  The service at the church will begin
at 11:00 AM.  The switch is due to scheduling requirements at the cemetery.
A final itinerary is being put together now and will be posted soon.

 

Let's all stand tall and silent for this multi-service veteran.
