United States Army, United States Navy; US Coast Guard Ready Reserve at the
time of his death

Mr. Martin was a veteran of the United States Army, United States Navy and
was a Lieutenant Commander in the Ready Reserve of the United States Coast
Guard at the time of his death, while copiloting a private helicopter
transporting workers from Louisiana to an offshore oil platform.
Part 1 - Interment Service: Friday, January 9, 2009, 9:00 AM; DFW National
Cemetery
Staging - 7:15 AM; Briefing 7:30 AM; KSU - 8:00 AM

The interment service will be first on this mission due to scheduling
requirements at the cemetery. We will not set up a flag line at the church
prior to leaving for the cemetery. We will participate in the procession
and the interment service at the National Cemetery. For those who will not
be participating in the procession but who will be at the cemetery, please
plan to arrive at the cemetery no later than 8:30 AM to begin setting up the
shelter area as soon as possible prior to Mr. Martin's service. We will use
flags in storage at the shelter for the service. The shelter assignment is
not known at this time.

Following dismissal from the service at the cemetery we will reassemble at
the church to set up a flag line for the memorial service and stand tall and
silent for family and guests as they arrive. Anyone who will not be present
for earlier parts of the mission but who will be on hand at the church
please arrive early in order to be standing tall and silent for any early
arriving guests or family members.
Weather: Forecast is for mostly clear with a high of 73 degrees following
an overnight low of 41 degrees.
Please remember that our mission is to stand tall, silent, and with honor
and respect for this American patriot and his family.
Iron Horses if you can; cages are always welcome and appreciated. The
support truck with flags and water will be requested only for the flag line
portion of this mission at the church. Riders in the procession and at the
cemetery please make arrangements for your own water/sports drink(s) as
required.
