This event is the annual reunion of the survivors living in Texas of the Iwo
Jima campaign in World War II. The PGR will be setting up a flag line
inside of the hotel for a portion of this event for the veterans to pass
through.

Attached to this mission notice is a registration form. Anyone wishing to
participate in any of the other events associated with this reunion may do
so by completing the form and paying the associated fee(s). No fee is

Part 2 - Meet and Greet: Saturday, February 21, 2009 - Following the Flag
Line Event

Following dismissal from the hotel, a meet and greet is being planned at the
Jalapeno Tree restaurant in Wichita Falls. Additional details will be
available at the time of the mission. All are most welcome and encouraged
to attend and visit with your friends and neighbors.

Weather: No telling this far in advance. Might be cold, though.

Please remember that these members of "The Greatest Generation" fought in
one of the roughest campaigns of World War II and, along with all our other
service men and women, deserve our utmost respect and admiration. This is a
great opportunity to thank these individuals while they are still with us.

David Hall and the Liberty Bell will be present on Saturday and he will be
visiting 2 local elementary schools on Friday.

Plans are also underway with one of the local Boy Scout troops to help with
the holding of the flags with us. What a great history lesson this will be
for these young people.

One request regarding the meet and greet - the restaurant would like to have
an approximate head count a couple of weeks before the mission of how many
might be there so an e-mail to either Ride Captain would be very helpful,
please.

Respectfully Submitted,

Mike and Barbara Johnson
