Ladies and Gentlemen,
We have been invited again this year to the Royce City 4th of July parade.
This is an evening parade when the sun is lower in the sky and is only about
a half-mile long. The parade is led each year by the Tri-County Veteran
Honor Guard and they have asked us to join them in leading the parade, a
very prestigious position and a great honor. We shared this honor with them
last year and they have invited us back. In the invitation they said that
last year the PGR "made the parade a huge success."
The staging is at 5:30 PM and the parade steps off at 6:00 PM. Being at the
front means that we will begin on time and not have any of the usual parade
type delays along the way.
Let's not let the Tri-County Veterans and the good people of the Royce City
area down and have a good showing for the parade. Additional information
will be coming in the form of a final itinerary very soon.
Thank you all.
Steve Lucas
Deputy State Captain
North Texas PGR
