PGR_NTX Patriot Guard Final Itinerary - Michael Stennet - Wichita Falls - July 9, 2009

[Mission Information For North Texas PGR]

Ladies and Gentlemen,

 

The following is a mission itinerary from Mike Johnson, Senior Ride Captain
from Wichita Falls, regarding a service taking place there this coming
Thursday.

 

The family of Michael Stennet, National Guard veteran, has requested the
presence of the Patriot Guard at his funeral service. The service will take
place at Owens & Brumley Funeral Home at 1317 9th Street in Wichita
Falls,Texas on July 9, 2009. 

 

Staging: We will stage in the south west corner of the First Baptist Church
parking lot directly across 9th Street from Owens & Brumley Funeral Home at
12:15. Ride briefing will be at 12:25 with the flag line to be in place at
12:30.

 

Once the service starts some of us will proceed to the cemetery in Buffalo
Springs, TX, http://texas.hometownlocator.com/tx/clay/buffalo-springs.cfm,
to start setting the flag line.

 

Large flag bikes will accompany the Harley trike pulling the caisson and the
funeral cars to the cemetery. This will be around a 40 mile ride, but the
trike driver has assured me that he will not get over 50 miles per hour, so
the flags should be fine. 

 

The temperature is forecast to be at or just over 100° so please hydrate and
be aware not only of yourself, but your fellow riders.  We also recommend
wide brim hats and sunscreen. The flag/water truck will be at the funeral
home and the cemetery.
