PGR_NTX Patriot Guard ASMI Motorcycle Event

[Mission Information For North Texas PGR]

Ladies and Gentlemen,

 

The ASMI (Accident Scene Management, Inc.) motorcycle awareness rally is
coming up July 24-26 in Decatur.  These are the people who hold the classes
on what to do at the scene of a motorcycle accident (www.accidentscene.org).
Their flyer is below and I'm told by the organizers that in addition to
what's printed on the flyer, Friday's events will consist of a DJ from 8PM
until midnight, that Saturday's bands will include Vagabond, Jeff Willford
Band and Half Stack Heart Attack, a possible visit from the local air
ambulance, a bike blessing after 5PM and Wise Co. EMS giving tours of their
new rescue unit.  Vendors so far are Hillbilly Leather and Accessories, who
is currently offering a vest, chaps and coat for $200, an airbrush artist, a
coffee cart and Pollard's BBQ, and there will be a raffle for a K-Bar knife,
standard and metric tool sets from Sears, helmet and other things.  Anyone
with questions can call the organizers.  Proceeds will go toward paying
tuition for riders to take the ASMI courses in this area, and two Share the
Road road signs are also going to be donated.

 

With the safety of our riders and of the general public always being a top
priority of the PGR we are certainly in support of anything that contributes
to that and to the well being of riders who may have been in an accident and
need immediate care.
