Part Two: Escort to and Interment at DFW National July 16th
Stage at the funeral home no later than 9:30 AM. We will line up with the
hearse and leave from there to escort the family to DFW National. There
will also be a motorcycle escort. Mr. Gonzalez's brother will ride in the
honor position behind the coach during the escort. American Legion Riders
will also join us.
Because of the construction around DFW National, those that wish to meet us
there, go in the back entrance off of Mountain Creek Parkway. Park on the
main road between the shelters, parallel parking two-up. We will not know
which shelter the service will be held at until the day of the interment. I
believe the service time at DFW National will be 11:00, might be as late as
11:30.
The flag/water truck will be at present on both days but will NOT be at the
funeral home on the day of the procession. Please plan accordingly.
Weather forecast:
Wednesday: Sunny and hot, with a high near 102. South wind around 10 mph.
Thursday: Mostly sunny and hot, with a high near 101. Heat index values as
high as 105. South southwest wind between 5 and 10 mph.
In other words, hydrate well prior to each mission. Dress appropriately for
the heat.
Iron Horses if you can; cages are always welcome and appreciated.
Please remember that our mission is to stand tall, silent, and with honor
and respect for this American patriot.
Respectfully Submitted,
Lisa "Gran" Wallace
North Texas Ride Captain
