PGR_NTX Patriot Guard Confirmed Mission - Homes for our Troops - SPC. Bret Wolf

[Mission Information For North Texas PGR]

Ladies and Gentlemen,

 

The North Texas Patriot Guard has been given the honor of being invited to
participate in a Homes for our Troops project that has been undertaken in
Weatherford.  A quote from the Homes for our Troops site:

 

Specialist Brett Wolf was serving in Iraq with the 25th Infantry when he was
severely injured on September 11, 2007. Brett was injured while driving the
lead vehicle, a minesweeper, in South Kirkuk, Iraq. The sweeper struck a
large bomb, flipped over and injured several of the personnel on board.

The blast caused severe injuries to Brett, with both legs amputated above
the knee, serious injuries to his right arm, abdomen and face as well as
other minor injuries.

Help Homes for Our Troops build Brett a home that will accommodate his needs
and enable him and his wife to concentrate on recovery and their future.

 

We have been asked to escort Specialist Wolf and his family to the build
site on the morning of August 5, 2009.  NASCAR driver/owner Tony Stewart
will also be present to greet them.

 

Details of the escort are being worked out but the escort will be
approximately 2 miles long and the organizers would like Specialist Wolf to
arrive at 8:00AM.  I am not certain at what state of construction the house
will be on that date.

 

A final itinerary will be posted as soon as the details are known.
