Ladies and Gentlemen,

We have been contacted by Texas HOTH Coordinator Debbie Horton regarding a
lady named Amy Rubin, who is making a solo motorcycle ride from Travis AFB
in California to Barksdale AFB in Shreveport. This is a Military Education
Awareness Ride where she will be presenting a check at Air Force Bases along
her route. Ms. Rubin contacted the PGR state captains along her route
asking for some company along the way. In the case of Texas, this request
was passed to Ms. Horton, who contacted the Deputy State Captains in the
areas along Ms. Rubin's chosen path.

The PGR riders in the Panhandle region will be picking Ms. Rubin up as she
enters Texas and taking her to Wichita Falls, where she will stop and make a
presentation there. Our North Texas region riders in Wichita Falls have
volunteered to escort Ms. Rubin to Decatur, in Wise County. We all consider
it very poor form to allow a lady to ride such a distance (and for such a
cause) in Texas unaccompanied so we are looking to join her in Decatur and
ride with her to a point as yet undetermined where we may be able to meet
with PGR riders from E. TX to accompany her along on her way.

She will be making her way through our area on Sunday, June 14, 2009. The
time she will be leaving Wichita Falls has yet to be determined. She is
planning to make the entire last leg of her ride.all the way to
Shreveport.on Sunday. The current thinking is for one person or group to
meet her in Decatur and perhaps another in the Mesquite area to continue
along with her to a point where the E. TX region can pick her up. I am told
she prefers to run the speed limit so running of big flags will be at your
discretion, but if the speed limit is 70 mph I am told that this is the
speed we will be going.

Pertinent e-mails received to this point and a link to her route are below.
Further details will be forthcoming as they are known. All are welcome to
join as we assist her in her trip across Texas.

I have put together a quick trip-map for you:
http://www.mapquest.com/mq/9-4PnU0*8vbPBU1qhr4V3 I will be doing a bit of
zig-zagging/backtracking in a few places.

I will be riding alone. As such, I would love it if any Patriot Rider(s) out
there could pick up the route now and then, as it will be a long & lonely
ride (for a good cause). I will have a tracking system on my bike, so anyone
can check to see where I am during the ride via a website...which I will
provide later.

Please let me know if you have any other questions.

Cordially,

Amy Rubin
