PGR_NTX Patriot Guard Confirmed Mission - Edgar "Mac" McRae - June 18-19, 2009

[Mission Information For North Texas PGR]

Ladies and Gentlemen,

 

The family of Edgar "Mac" McRae have asked the North Texas PGR to
participate in the final services for this WWII veteran and member of The
Greatest Generation.  Our participation will consist of a flag line at the
funeral home for Mr. McRae's funeral on Thursday, June 18, 2009 and an
escort from the funeral home to DFW national cemetery and interment service
there on Friday, June 19, 2009.  The funeral home is Williams Funeral Home
in Garland.

 

We were contacted by Mr. McRae's daughter regarding our participation.  We
had participated in services for her husband's mother at the National
Cemetery in February of 2008 and she and her mother decided that no more
fitting tribute could be paid her father than to have the Patriot Guard
present.  That is indeed high praise for what you, the riders, do and the
positive affect you have on the families we serve.
