PGR_NTX Patriot Guard Mission Follow-Up

[Mission Information For North Texas PGR]

Ladies and Gentlemen,

 

Ride Captain Mike Lambert received an e-mail from the daughter of Tommy
Williams, the husband of Bobbie Williams, whom we escorted last week.  You
might recall that Mr. Williams is a motorcycle rider from way back and rode
on Mike's trike from the Elk's Lodge to DFW National Cemetery.  I believe
you can say the PGR had something of an impact on Mr. Williams and his
family from the letter below.

 

Well Mike I just thought I would drop you a line and let you know that Dad 
bought himself a Harley Trike today. He went yesterday and bought a "Road
King" 
without telling anyone and when we found out we worked on him to put a
sidecar 
on it. My brother Charles went with him this morning to talk with the
dealership 
about putting a sidecar on it but it was going to be 3 months,so Charles and
Dad 
looked over the trike and he decided that it might be better cause it has 
reverse. He will be practicing on it for awhile around the neighborhood but
he 
really wants to ride with the Guard so it will not be long before he is on
the 
road. Joyce 

 

Looks like we have a new recruit, and he is most welcome.

 

Also a pat on the back is due Mike Lambert for establishing such a good
relationship with the family that they feel comfortable in remaining in
contact with the PGR and even joining up.  Good job, Mike.
