We will set up a flag line prior to the funeral service and stand the line
to receive family and guests as they arrive. Once the service begins we
will break down the flag line and prepare to ride in the procession to the
cemetery. I was told that the service is scheduled to last about 45 minutes
and that we should be ready to leave between 10:45 and 11:00. Clark Street,
which runs adjacent to the church, becomes Spur 408 and the total trip to
DFW National Cemetery is approximately 6.3 miles. An escort company has
been hired to provide traffic control. As we arrive at the cemetery, big
flag bikes please remain with the procession as it stages at the visitor
center and all other bikes/cages please continue on to the area below the
shelters for staging and assistance with flag setup. We will learn shelter
assignment while at the church. Riders not participating in the escort
portion of the mission please see Part 2 below.

Riders not participating in the escort portion of the mission please check
the announcement board at the visitor center for shelter assignment when you
arrive and please proceed to the parking area below the shelter for staging
and briefing. We will use flags stored at the shelter and set up as soon as
possible following the service prior to Mr. Walling's. I will be coming to
the shelter area as soon as the procession arrives.

Due to the close time proximity between this mission and the mission for
General Lawrie we will dismiss as soon as possible following this mission.
We will NOT, however, rush through this mission or in any way show haste in
the presence of Mr. Walling's family or guests. There will be plenty of
time to get to the other mission and each and every person who has served
our country deserves our full respect, honor and undivided attention.

Weather: Forecast is for mostly clear skies with a high of 69 degrees
following an overnight low of 30 degrees.

Please remember that our mission is to stand tall, silent, and with honor
and respect for this American patriot from the greatest generation and his
family.

Iron Horses if you can; cages are always welcome and appreciated. Due to
the limited duration of the mission and the fact that we already have flags
at the cemetery the support truck will not be requested. Please make
arrangements to have your own water and/or sports drink(s) available.

Respectfully Submitted,

Steve Lucas

North Texas Deputy State Captain
