[Mission Information For North Texas PGR]

Ladies and Gentlemen,

 

The following message came in to our State Captain from Carter BloodCare and
we are passing it on for general information to you.  Thank you for all you
do for those we serve.

First off I would like to thank you and the PGR for all that you do to
support our men and women of our armed forces. I am a veteran of the Iraq
war and I was truly honored to serve my country, so again as a vet I would
to tell you thank you. Carter BloodCare is Texas' largest blood banking
system and 4th largest in the United States. We service over 250 healthcare
facilities in the DFW, Tyler, and Waco area. We operate anywhere between 30
and 40 blood drives a day and that is 365 days a year. Some of the drives
are held at our local donation facilities that we have in the greater
Dallas-Fort Worth area.  As the Marketing Coordinator for Carter BloodCare
one my responsibilities is to help coordinate the large blood drives that we
have at many of local donation collection facilities and really attempt to
make those drives a real event and fun for everyone involved. I come to you
today to possibly get your assistance in two drives that we have coming up.
On Memorial Day at our Cedar Hill location we are going to be having one
such drive. Our theme for that is going to military and veterans. On June
20th at our Grand Prairie Donor Center we are having another drive, and the
theme for that is Real Heroes. I would like to see if we might be able to
get some of the guys and girls come out to these events and possibly donate
their time by meeting some of our donors and maybe even donate themselves.
If you feel like this would be something that you and the PGR might like to
participate in please let me know.
