FINAL ITINERARY

 

Vietnam Wall Escort

 

Mission Date; May 20, 2009

On May 20, 2009 the Tannehill Masonic Lodge #52 will be bringing a Vietnam
travelling wall from Fouts Field on the campus of the University of North
Texas to Dallas city hall for a ceremony there and then on to Fair Park
where there will be events held at that location on May 23, 2009.  The North
Texas PGR has been asked to participate in the escort from Denton to Dallas
and then on to Fair Park.  All PGR bikes are welcome to attend.  A flyer for

The Dallas Police Department will come to Fouts Field to escort the
procession to Dallas city hall for speeches from the Mayor and other
dignitaries and then on to Fair Park.  This is not a PGR managed event but
we very much respect any movement of a Vietnam Wall  through North Texas and
consider it an honor to be invited to participate.

 

 

Part 1 - Escort:  Wednesday, May 20, 2009 - 10:00 AM; Fouts Field (Football
Stadium), University of North Texas, Denton, TX

 

Staging - 9:00 AM; Briefing - 9:30 AM; Kick Stands Up - 10:00 AM

This mission will consist only of escorting the wall along with other
motorcyclists who may be present to participate.

 

 

Weather:  Forecast is for clear and a high of 83 degrees.  

 

With warmer weather beginning please remember to properly hydrate (including
the night before) before any outdoor activity and to dress appropriately.
Do not hesitate to take a break at any time if you feel you need to get in
the shade or get indoors and always ask for help at any time.

  

It is our understanding that motorcycles are the vehicle of choice to
participate in this escort.  The flag/water truck will NOT be present during
this mission so please make proper arrangements for water and Gatorade or
similar type drink(s).
