FINAL ITINERARY

 

Larry Wayne McMahan; Seaman First Class

Mission Date; May 23, 2009

Mr. McMahan, in addition to being a veteran of the United States Navy is the
Uncle of our own PGR rider Sam McMahan.  During his tour of duty Mr. McMahan
served aboard the Aircraft Carrier USS Philippine Sea.

 

Mr. Jordan is survived by his wife of 51 years Juanita McMahan of Scurry, TX
as well as siblings, children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and many
nieces, nephews and other family members.

 

 

Part 1 - Escort and Graveside Service:  Saturday, May 23, 2009 - 10:00 AM;
Mount Olive Cemetery, Scurry, TX

 

Staging - 9:00 AM; Briefing - 9:10 AM; KSU - 9:40 AM

(Note:  Neither the map on Google Maps or on Mapquest is exact but Mapquest
is closest.  The funeral home is 2 blocks south of Hwy 175 on Hwy 34 on the
East side of the road.)

There will be no separate funeral service for Mr. McMahan.  His only formal
service will be at the graveside.  We will stage at the funeral home and
participate in a procession from there to the cemetery, a distance of
approximately 7 miles.  We will stand a flag line at that time for the
service.

Weather:  Forecast is for a 40% chance of scattered thunderstorms with a
high of 80 degrees.  Please keep an eye on the weather and dress
accordingly.

  

Please remember that our mission is to stand tall, silent, and with honor
and respect for this American patriot.

 

We anticipate having adequate time to be able to comfortably attend the
mission in Lewisville following the conclusion of this mission.  

 

Iron Horses if you can; cages are always welcome and appreciated.  The
flag/water truck will be present.
