PGR_NTX Patriot Guard Honor Flight of Dallas - First Trip To Washington

[Mission Information For North Texas PGR]

Ladies and Gentlemen,

 

Those who have been on the Honor Flight escorts to and from Waxahachie know
what a great experience it is to escort those WWII veterans as they begin
and end their trips to Washington, D.C. to see the WWII Memorial and other
sights.  There has now been established an Honor Flights of Dallas and we
just received a message from them.  They are making their very first trip to
Washington.  There is no escort to go along with this one, just seeing them
off at DFW airport and welcoming them home again for any who can attend.
Their message is below.

 

It's very short notice, with little time to prepare, but we are going to get
with them and hopefully become good friends and have a great relationship
like we do with the folks in Ellis County so that we can help make their job
easier and maybe make the experience a little happier for these veterans of
The Greatest Generation.

 

Below is the e-mail we received from them.  If you're available, please come
and see these veterans off and come back to welcome them home.  It's an
experience you won't soon forget.

I know this is short notice but Honor Flight of Dallas is taking its first
flight to Washington DC on Mon. June 1 and would like to request the Patriot
Guard to see us off at DFW airport.  We are taking 35 WWII vets to visit the
WWII monument at no financial cost to them.... we also have 19 guardians
helping them out for the trip that have paid their own way.

 

Below is our flight information for departure and arrival back on June 2.

June 1, 2009,  5:00 am Meeting at Gate C6 outside security as a group.....
Ch. 4 and 5 will film outside security because they can't run cable through
security....... our flight American Airlines 1360 departs at 6:50

 

Arrival back at DFW on Tuesday June 2, 2009  American Airlines Flight 1105 @
9:50 pm
