Ladies and Gentlemen,
Below is information regarding the Snowball Express escorts on December 11,
2009 from the Dallas hotels to Dallas City Hall and then on to the Dallas
Convention Center on foot, including a link to the sign up page for this
event. This includes a flag line at City Hall and short foot parade to the
Dallas Convention Center. All are welcome!! Also included is a link to
take you to the sign-up sheet. You may return to the sign-up sheet to alter
your information if you need to but you must do it from the same computer
where you started the survey and not erase your cookies. If you don't know
what computer cookies are, don't worry about them. Just complete the brief
survey and you'll be all signed up. Changes, additional details and other
information will be posted on the North Texas PGR web site at
<http://www.txpgr.org> www.txpgr.org. Just click on the button for Snowball
Express and all the latest information will be there.
Staging is at 8:30 AM sharp at the hotels and at City Hall. Please refer to
the web site for the exact staging area for your hotel and allow time for
rush hour traffic in Dallas when planning your travel time. Please try and
not stray too far from the staging location or be gone for too long. The
Ride Captain at your location will be checking last minute details with
Snowball Express, transportation personnel, Law Enforcement, lead PGR
personnel, etc. There will be a briefing at your location by the Ride
Captain. The procession will pull out when Snowball Express says it is
ready. This is not the call of the Ride Captain so please be prepared!
All PGR members and others wishing to participate in the events at City Hall
please also stage there at 8:30AM. When the busses pull up the participants
will be dropped off there for speeches, welcomes, etc. We will put up flag
lines around the area for this part of the event.
Following the speeches and welcomes, which include military dignitaries,
there will be what Snowball Express calls a "Walk of Gratitude". This is
where all of the participants will parade on foot to the Dallas Convention
Center. We will reestablish the flag line so that the kids and family
members can walk through the flags at the beginning of the "Walk" and we
will then fall in behind them with the flags and go with them to the
Convention Center. From that point, the participants will go into the
Convention Center where a full day of activities and music are planned for
them. Once we roll the flags and have a final briefing we are done for the
day. We should be finished well before noon.
