3rd Annual Patriotic American Outreach - Burleson, Texas

The North Texas PGR has once again been asked to participate within the
community.  We will be escorting three recipients of "Homes For Our Troops"
to Beaumont Ranch in Grandview.  We have also been asked by the Circuit
Riders Motorcycle Ministry to participate in the 3rd Annual Patriotic
American Outreach by leading a parade of bikes through Burleson and
participating in the Opening Ceremony.    

 

 

Part 1 - Escort:  Saturday, September 12, 2009; Beaumont Ranch Escort

 

Staging - 08:15AM; Briefing - 08:30AM; KSU - 09:15

We will stage in the parking lot of the La Quinta Inn where we will meet
three veterans, Brett Wolf and his wife Kelly, Mr. William "Bill" Baker and
his wife Janet, and Latseen Benson and his wife Jessica.  This staging time
will allow the PGR members time to meet with these American Heroes prior to
the escort to Beaumont Ranch.  Arriving at Beaumont Ranch the riders will
participate in the welcoming of these honored guests.  Law enforcement is
scheduled to assist the ride onto Interstate 35 South.  Mr. Baker is a
veteran of the Korean War and served as a Prisoner of War there for 33
months.

 

 

Part 2 - Saturday, September 12, 2009; 3rd Annual Patriotic American
Outreach 

 

Staging - 11:30 AM; Briefing -11:45; KSU -12:00 Noon

We will depart from Beaumont Ranch around 11:15, proceed up Interstate 35 to
Highway 174. Riding a slow formation down Wilshire Blvd (Hwy 174) parading
the flags and bikes we will arrive at Ceremony location at 12:00 AM. The PGR
has been asked to participate in the opening ceremony.ce. 

 

 

Weather:  Forecast for Saturday:  Mostly cloudy with a 50 percent chance of
showers and thunderstorms.  Highs in the mid 80s. Northeast winds 5 to 10
mph.

   

The flag/water truck will NOT be at the locations.

 

Safety First:  With warmer weather, please remember to properly hydrate
(including the night before) before any outdoor activity and to dress
appropriately. Remember to use caution with the wet streets.  Do not
hesitate to take a break at any time if you feel you need to get in indoors
and always ask for help at any time.  Also please do not forget your sun
screen and rain gear. 

 

Iron horses if you can, cages are always welcome and appreciated.

respect.
