The reason for the early staging is because the family of Marine Lcpl.Alvaro Rios has requested that we ride over to the family's home and escort them back to Laurel Oaks. They would like to leave between 8:15-8:30.I would appreciate as many riders as possible participate=2
0in the escort. The distance is 5.37 miles so it shouldn't take more than 10 minutes to get there.

We will set our flag line and stand tall and silent to receive family and guests as they arrive for the service.  The service will consist of a memorial service and graveside service located approximately 200 yards from the chapel.  Once the memorial service begins we will break down the flag line and re-establish at the grave site. The graveside service is expected to start between 11:00 -11:15.Large Flag Bikes stay at the Chapel to participate in the procession to the grave site.

Weather:  Partly sunny with a 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Highs around 80. North winds around 5 mph.

While we recognize that there are other missions also planned on Friday riders not attending those or not in the geographical area of those missions please consider attending this one.  We know that the family of Mr. Alvaro Rios would be most grateful.

The flag/water truck will be present.

Safety First:  With warmer weather, please remember to properly hydrate (including the night before) before any outdoor activity and to dress appropriately.  Do not hesitate to take a break at any time if you feel you need to get in the shade or get indoors and always ask for help at any time.  Also please do not forget your sun screen.

Iron horses if you can, cages are always welcome and appreciated.

Please remember t
hat our mission is to stand tall, silent, and with honor and respect for this veteran and his family.

Respectfully Submitted,

Dewey "Diehard" Dyer
