[Mission Information For North Texas PGR]

Mission information from our brothers and sisters in the Abilene area
regarding a funeral and burial in and near Cross Plains and then Comanche.
It is happening TODAY.  It is for Master Gunnery Sergeant Howard "Gene"
Hicks of Comanche.

 

 

Another one of our brothers have fallen to the dreaded Agent Orange. He went
to his maker on Thursday at the VA Hospital in Waco, TX. A highly decorated
marine who made it home to fight another war. He was 77yrs old. Ours prayers
go with the family.

 

The family has requested to have as many Vietnam Vets at his funeral as
possible.

 

Abilene PGR

 

Staging: 7/11 parking lot just down from the EXPO Center on the south side
of East S11th St. We will meet around 11:30am w/ KSU at 11:45am to be at the
church by 1:15pm.  We will travel down TX-36 to Comanche. Any other
sugestions please contact me via Cell.

 

Weather: High of 95 with no rain so far.

 

Flag bikes always a welcome sight.

Time: 2pm

Staging at funeral home: 1:15Pm

We will escort procession to Cemetery following the service.

 

Internment will be at Board Church Cemetery between Cross Plains and
Gustine, TX on TX-36 immediately following the funeral service. I will have
a map for the cemetery but due to the large file size, it will not be
included in this email.

 

 

Definition of a Veteran

A Veteran - whether active duty, retired, national guard or reserve - is
someone who, at one point in his or her life, wrote a blank check made
payable to "The United States of America", for an amount of "up to and
including my life."
